  • Hi Silke, I use Buffer @ bufferapp.com to schedule my social promotions, and I use ActiveCampaign.com for my email marketing. They are a little more robust than Mailchimp – close to an Infusionsoft or Ontraport but with less cost.

    • Awesome! Thank you for sharing. Both Buffer and ActiveCampaign look like great tools, I just have never used them before. Of course, user preference plays a big part in choosing the right tools as well.

  • I literally don’t have time to do the social media circuit. That makes me wonder at times if I should even bother. If I’m that busy do I really need to bother? If I can build these up I feel that I’m buffering myself for a downturn in business. Thanks for the article. Very informative!

    • Hi David, you’re welcome I’m glad you found it helpful! I have to say if you’re too busy to engage with your customer or potential customers, maybe you should hire somebody else to take some of the work load of you.

Yes, you should still utilize social media, if not to promote your products, then to give your customers a platform to talk about your company and share their experiences. Transparency is very important and most people want to be able to learn about you from other people before they start doing business with you (reviews, etc.). I hope this makes sense.

  • Hey there Silke,

Thanks for sharing these resources with us. There are some that I currently use like Hootsuite, Pic Monkey, and Mail Chimp. But I saw some new ones that I’m going to check out. I like the Hemingway app and redditlater, those are first on my list of things to check out today. 🙂

Thanks for putting this together for us and sharing it! Have a great day and new week!

    • Hi Cori, You are very welcome! Thank you so much for taking the time to leave a comment.

The Hemingway app is a great resource for writers, I happened to stumble upon it a few weeks ago.

Do you have much success with Reddit? It seems to me that it’s a big hit or miss kind of site, meaning you get a lot of traffic for a day or two if you choose the right category at the right time of day. Otherwise you might not get any traffic at all. The redditlater tool is designed to help with that.

Have a wonderful rest of your day.
